Who is the creator of Janette’s Custom Calorie Meals?

Hi, I am Janette, the creator of Janette’s Custom Calorie Meals and the founder of Positive Mama Enterprises, LLC. I am a devoted wife and mother of 3 children; a 8 year-old, a 18 year-old, and a 26 year-old. Yes, our youngest child was a surprise of a lifetime, a fabulous blessing we didn’t know we were missing!

I had the gracious opportunity to work in the educational field for 18 years: teaching, coaching, athletic director, and for the final 7 years, as principal for the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students at our small rural junior high school with a fabulous teaching team. The summer of 2016, I made a transition in careers to spend more time with my precious family in the evenings and on the weekends.

Health and fitness have always been an intricate part of my life, as well as, education. Customizing meals and creating healthy entrees and snacks is an additional avenue in which I get to “think-outside-the-box”, brainstorm, calculate, and be creative.


This is Janette and her family….her husband, daughter and 2 sons.


Educational Background

Janette with an example of the meal container – an easy, “take-on-the-go” or “eat-at-home” option, for meals customized to your eating regiment, made with whole foods, simple ingredients, and absent of highly processed foods.

My educational background began with the completion of my associate’s degree while attending junior college on a basketball scholarship. I then continued my education without sports to obtain 3 additional degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Education, a Master of Science in Education, and a Specialist Degree in Educational Administration from Eastern Illinois University. Pertaining directly to health and fitness, I am a certified classroom teacher for science, health, and physical education, along with being a certified and experienced coach.

I am a certified Food Safety Manager through the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals. I am also a certified Food Service Sanitation Manager (FSSMC) by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).
