The Process/Delivery/Storage

How to get started:

If you are interested or have questions, please send an email from the “CONTACT US” page or email directly, janettescustommeals@gmail.com. You can also call or text (618-508-1995) during business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. 

Please give Janette 24 hours to return your message. Janette returns emails, phone calls, and texts early morning or after 4:00 pm. Janette strategically utilizes every second of her day to fulfill client orders and create or improve recipes. She is either prepping food, baking treats and eats, working on menus and recipes, grocery shopping, meeting with a client, or out on a delivery.

Clients simply click on the link, select items, and then click on submit for Janette to verify. She will verify your order, and then send you an invoice within 24 hours as confirmation of your order with a delivery date and payment section.

Food Prep Process

After a client’s order is established and verified, Janette’s Custom Calorie Meals purchases the groceries specific to the client’s order. Afterward, the food preparation process begins.

A dish is prepared, weighed, portioned, packaged, labeled, and directly placed into the commercial freezer. Then, onto the next desired Custom Individual Meal, Healthy Bake, Stuffed Cups & Bread, or Fresh-Frozen Slow-Cooker Entree. The process is repeated until the order is completed.

Each client’s order is delivered fresh-frozen on Fridays. Treats & Eats orders placed by Monday, are delivered on Fridays, too.

Delivery for Custom Individual Meals (CIM)

We are NOT ZONED for customer parking.

We hand deliver to your door, business, work, hotel, home, or designated delivery area. We currently deliver on FRIDAYS, from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Delivery for Custom Individual Meals for 30+ MEALS is FREE. We will deliver within a 100 miles of Flora, IL. FFSCE, Healthy Bakes, Stuffed Cups & Breadand Treats & Eats‘ delivery fees are waived for CIM clients.

Once a delivery destination is established, the transport cooler with frozen meals stays with the client. Upon the 2nd delivery, Janette takes the initial cooler filled with empty containers and leaves the client with a second cooler filled with a new order of individual frozen meals. 

Clients pay a one-time “cooler rental” for meal transport and temporary storage, $25.00 per 30 meals. The cooler(s) become the client’s property that will continue to be used for their meal delivery process. The BPA-free plastic food containers are part of the cost of the initial grocery bill, but clients can choose to remove the labels, wash the containers,  and then put the containers back into their cooler to be reused for meals. If a client prefers to throw them away, then the containers can be purchased again the following month.

After the initial delivery, if a client wants different containers, such as glass (as a preference, or to heat meals in the oven instead of the microwave), then they can put those in their cooler and Janette will use those containers for their next delivery. Depending on the food choice for meals, the BPA-free plastic containers are approximately $1.00 per container.

 

Delivery for Low-Carb, Clean, Grab & Go, Fresh-Frozen Slow-Cooker Entrees (FFSCE) and Gourmet Treats & Eats

WE HAVE 3 DELIVERY-RATES for Stuffed Cups & BreadFFSCE, and Gourmet Treats & Eats:

We hand deliver to your door, business, work, hotel, home, or designated delivery area. We currently deliver on FRIDAYS, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. We hope to launch our “shipping option” (for Stuffed Cups & Bread, FFSCE and Treats) within 6 months.

1. For deliveries of Stuffed Cups & BREADFFSCEand Treats & Eats, beyond 50 miles, up to 100 miles from Flora IL, there is a $20 delivery-fee with a $50 minimum-order.

2. For deliveries to areas outside of Flora, within 50 miles, there is a $10 delivery-fee with a $25 minimum-order.

3. Deliveries within the Flora area are FREE, with a $25 minimum-order.

How to store and prep meals and entrees for eating?

After Custom Individual Meals arrive, select the meals you are going to eat for the next 5 days and place those into the refrigerator. Store the rest in the freezer. You can leave a frozen meal in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days. Suggested use, is to thaw your meals in the refrigerator before heating in the microwave. Also, for Healthy Bakes, it is strongly suggested to thaw your meals in the refrigerator before heating. The taste is so much better when “heating a thawed meal” verses heating a frozen-solid meal. Unseal the lid and place the lid hovering over the top of your thawed meal as you place it in the microwave. Heat your thawed meal to your desired temperature, typically about 3-4 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes in the microwave. You can eat your meal directly from the container or place your meal on a plate. Enjoy!

After Gourmet Stuffed Cups arrive, store them in the refrigerator. The stuffed cups can be stored in the refrigerator for 5 to 7 days. For those of your stocking up, all stuffed cups freeze beautifully for up to 3 months. It is strongly suggested to completely THAW your stuffed cups in the refrigerator before warming. The taste is so much better when “heating THAWED stuffed cups” verses heating frozen-solid stuffed cup. Unseal the lid and place the lid hovering over the top of your thawed stuffed cups as you place it in the microwave. Heat your thawed stuffed cups to your desired temperature, typically about 1-2 minutes. Let stand for 1-2 minutes in the microwave. You can eat directly from the container with your fingers or grab a fork. Enjoy!

After Fresh-Frozen Slow-Cooker Entrees arrive, select the entree you are going to eat within the next couple of days. Place that unopened entree into the refrigerator on a tray or baking pan (to catch condensation as it thaws) and store the rest in the freezer. You can leave a FFSCE in the refrigerator for 5 days. Suggested use is to thaw your entrees in the refrigerator before cooking. Again, the taste is so much better and richer.
